The Bainbridge Island MOPS group meets from 9:30 - 11:30 am every 2nd and 4th Friday, September through May. MOPS has insightful speakers, helpful demonstrations, small mom-to-mom discussion groups, fun crafts or creative activities, great food, and relaxing fellowship.
All you have to do is arrive at MOPS, take your children to MOPPETS, get some breakfast, and enjoy yourself!

You may attend MOPS with or without your children. Quality, loving childcare is provided for pre-kindergarten aged children (birth to 5 years old). The children's program, called MOPPETS, is where little ones engage in developmentally appropriate play and educational activities during the meetings so moms can feel free to enjoy their activities. Children enjoy stories, free play, crafts, and music.
what is mops?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program led by mothers themselves and designed for mothers with children ages birth to kindergarten. These mothers all have a shared desire...to be the best mothers they can be! We begin our meeting with breakfast and door prizes, usually followed by a speaker. We then take time to enjoy a fun creative activity or project to take home. We also meet in small discussion groups where moms have a chance to share ideas, thoughts, and experiences with other moms.
Speaker topics include issues such as women's health, strengthening relationships, discipline, and time and money-saving tips.

Adventures in Mothering
The MOPS international theme for 2008-09 is Adventures in Mothering. This theme will equip us as moms to learn more about ourselves as we go through the adventure of motherhood. We will learn how we can celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches us emotionally and spiritually.
The metaphor for Adventures in Mothering is an amusement park. With the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of the amusement park, motherhood might feel like a sensory overload. But our MOPS group will enjoy this together and learn more about themselves as women, moms, and leaders.
