We have just arrived back at Kevin and Bonnie's house in Bobo after a 3 hour trip out of the bush - Kevin went home via a different road mot nearly so wash board like. willy and Tim rode in the very back seat so i think for them the ride was another 6 Flags experience.
We have had the most wonderful 2 days in the bush and I mean the BUSH. Wouldn't have missed the experience for all the tea in China, what a privilage to have been involved in even the tiniest tiniest way. 5 men made decisions for Christ yesterday after the Jesus film was shown. There was a good turn out for the film and of course there will be more fruit from it in the days to come. These people are really hungry to hear the gospel and again it is amazing to see God moving older believers into the area just ahead of Kevin's arrival. One of the villages we visited yesterday, where Kevin will be showing the Jesus film tonight two believers have just come over the border from Mali and are keen to help start a church with the new believers. God is doing such amazing things, can't wait to share them with you, there are also major attacks so keep praying. So many stories to share and not enough time to share them here, will write a more report when I get home. I have some a mazing photos. We leave for Ouga tomorrow; off to the Bobo market with the boys this afternoon.
Once again I have had just the most wonderful time with the African children. The bush children are sooooo dirty, snotty nosed, rotten teath, filthy feet and hands, that feel dry and crispy to the touch. The smiles, oh the beautiful smiles and once they know you will stop and shake their hands, they come running up to you when ever they can, just for a hand shake. Again there is that amazing sense of privilage on my part as our lives intersect be it ever so briefly.
The deliciousness of coming back to a warm shower is beyond discription as is the amount of dust and dirt on our persons after 2 days in the village. The red dust of Africa is just something that gets into every nook and craney, our bags were just full of the fine red grit and our stomachs full of white rice and Arabian tea. However, that all leads on to storie for another day. It's lunch time here and so I will sign off.
Thanks most of all for your prayers because we hae truly felt the difference they have made.
Hugs and prayers,
Grant and Jenni
