OBERG PRAISE N PRAY – Mar 10, 2009
PRAISE God for a good time of evangelism
in villages around Badara. In a few, there was no response, but we
trust seeds were planted and pray for a future harvest. About 40
people responded to the gospel in Kwini! Pray for all those who made
decisions to follow Christ, that they would follow through on these commitments
and grow in their new faith, and for Blaise (the school teacher who moved
there from Katana) who will be overseeing this group. (More to come
on this story later.)
Thanks for praying for Bonnie’s
trip to Badara—it was GREAT to be back in the bush after having been away
for so long. (Kevin is usually already in the bush for evangelism
on the weekends, so the kids and I aren’t able to go out there on Sundays
during “evangelism season”).
Please continue to PRAY for Toby
Hull and his family. Tests have shown that there is some sort of
blockage in his heart and the doctor has said it is a good thing that he
came back to the US. Please continue to PRAY as they make decisions
about what needs to take place—we’ll let you know more once we get some
more details.
PRAY for Kevin and crew as they
head out to Ndorola tomorrow to roof the youth foyer building. The
weather has gotten HOT these past weeks, so PRAY for energy along with
protection.
Please PRAY for the pastors in
our region who will be moving to the new villages that they have been assigned
to, that they would accept these assignments and that these moves would
take place in a timely manner.
Please continue to PRAY for all
the details to come together for our time with the Salem, OR, team. We’re
looking forward to their March 22nd arrival! :o)
