OBERG PRAISE N PRAY – November 26,   2007

PRAISE God for 8 new believers in Temetemeso, with another 7 who want to accept Christ as soon as they can meet with Pastor Marcel!  Please PRAY that those who heard the good news of Christ this past week will continue to ponder what they have heard and will decide to follow Christ as well.  PRAY for the new believers, that they will grow in their faith and that their family and friends will see the difference in their lives.

PRAY for those in Sirasso who came to the evangelism, that they would be drawn to Christ.  We have a large group of believers in Sirasso, but most of them have moved there from Mali.  We still have not seen one person originally from Sirasso come to Christ.  The chief is friendly and open to us and the church being there, but for some reason, this village is a hard one to “crack”.  Please PRAY that Pastor Marcel and the group of believers there will have many opportunities to show Christ’s love to those around them. 

PRAISE God for a good trip for the well drilling team.  They spent 5 nights in rough and primitive conditions and had great attitudes.  The well drilling went well—Sirasso and Temetemeso both have new wells, and since they finished a day early, they went to the next place and started drilling there.  They go back to Ouaga Tuesday (tomorrow). 

Please PRAY for the 2^nd well drilling team, which will arrive this Friday.  They will be drilling 3 wells surrounding Bobo.  Kevin and Toby will split the six nights of evangelism.  Please PRAY that there will be fruit from these campaigns, combined with the ministry of meeting peoples’ needs with the wells.

Thanks for praying for our Thanksgiving!  We had a GREAT time with our missionary family and friends here—42 of them!  :o)  Kevin wasn’t too exhausted, in spite of being in the bush all week, and was also able to enjoy the day.  We also had a special Thanksgiving report that day from Kevin’s dad that the cancer has not spread any place new in his body—thanks for your prayers for him as well.
