OBERG PRAISE N PRAY – October 14, 2007

PRAISE God that Kevin’s trip in the States is going well.  He has been encouraged as he has had the opportunity to share in several churches.  We are excited about the commitment that several of these churches are making in prayer and support, and he says that he has been greatly blessed.  Thanks for all those who are helping directly to make his trip special—you know who you are!  :o)  Please PRAY as he shares in Dallas, OR, this week (actually last week and this weekend), and in Hillsboro, OR, on the weekend of the 19th-21st.

PRAISE God that the Hulls had a great trip to Ndorola last Sunday.  It was encouraging to hear the report from their trip—Pastor Samuel and his wife are encouraged with the ministry there.  The church is growing (we’re going to need a new building FAST—the hangar is full!), and Pastor Samuel is very interested in starting some evangelism in surrounding villages soon.

Please PRAY protection over Pastor Samuel and his family.  They have found several scorpions in their home, and the property that they are living on has many snakes.  The church just moved a huge pile of rocks close to the house where they had seen snakes.  I shuddered when I heard this news—our girls played on or around this pile countless times during our trips to Ndorola!  So, we are praising God for His continued protection, even in times when we aren’t even aware there is a danger.  Thank you for praying!

Please continue to PRAY for Bonnie and the kids while Kevin is gone.  Burkina had three days without internet countrywide this past week, and you can imagine the frustration that was in not being able to get my books posted and in the lapse of communication with Kevin.  He ended up having a bout with malaria this past week—please PRAY that he will recover completely.  He’s feeling much better, but is still a bit run down.
