OBERG PRAISE N PRAY – September 23, 2007

PRAISE God for a good trip to Samorogouan this past week to look at property for the church.  The piece of property that was suggested is not ideal for several reasons, and so the committee is going to be looking at trying to get another piece that is available.  Please continue to PRAY as we move forward with this property purchase.

Pastor Samuel from Ndorola stopped by for a visit this week.  PRAISE God and PRAY with us for the following:

*A 13 year old boy came to visit Pastor Samuel and after their conversation, he ran home to ask permission from his mother to follow Christ.  She didn’t have a problem with it, and so he returned and prayed with Pastor Samuel the next day.  Please PRAY that he will grow in his faith and that his mother (and the rest of the family) will come to Christ.

*The Fulani ladies who come and draw water at the well have started attending a weekly Bible study at the church!  You know how to PRAY!  :o)

*A Fulani neighbor has met with the Pastor several times and has been in church the past three Sundays.  Please PRAY that he will make a commitment to Christ and that there will be a movement among the Fulani people in Ndorola.  There are about 1000 of them who live on the outskirts of the village.  PRAY as Pastor Samuel makes plans for evangelism outreaches among them.

*There are several issues that Pastor Samuel would like to address as he is leading the church in Ndorola.  Please PRAY that the believers will be receptive to his suggestions and that God will be glorified in the testimony of the church.

Please PRAY for Kevin as he travels to the States this week.  He arrives Monday evening and will spend the first few days with his brother, David, and his family.  He’ll be in Richland, WA, on Thursday, and in Yakima, WA, for the weekend.  Please PRAY for Bonnie and the kids on the home front—with the home schooling and the bookkeeping, Bonnie will keep very busy and this next month will probably fly by!  (We hope!  :o)

Thanks for PRAYing for our little Emma.  The sores on her legs are looking so much better and she seems to be recovering well from the infection that she had.
