Yes.
We are affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
The
Pacific Northwest District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. includes
over one hundred churches in Washington and Oregon. Throughout America,
the C&MA consists of approximately 2,000 churches and 300,000 worshippers.
In addition, worldwide the C&MA includes over 15,000 churches with
over wo million adherents.
In its articles of incorporation, the objectives
of the C&MA are as follows:
"The Christian and Missionary Alliance
is committed to world missions, stressing the fullness of Christ in personal
experience, building the Church, and preaching the gospel to the ends of
the earth."
Why not just be an independent church?
We are an independent church! Every C&MA church is completely independent.
There is no denominational control or hierarchy, as there is in many other
denominations. Each church is self-governed and determines its own affairs.
Every C&MA church chooses its own pastor. Every C&MA church owns
it own buildings and assets. Every C&MA church determines its own programs.
What are the advantages of affiliating with the C&MA?
It allows us to identify with other Christians around the world who are
known for their commitment to the Bible. Unlike some groups, the C&MA
has no man-made "creed." The Bible is our only authority.
It allows our church to participate in a great missionary organization.
Through the C&MA missions program, we help support missionaries in
many countries around the world.
It allows for accountability, and therefore safety for our church.
Pastors are held accountable for their doctrinal and ethical positions.
